Technology has changed extremely in the last 25 years. One could only argue that it’s continued to improve our lives, keeping us more connected to information, entertainment, and with each other

Even if they study areas that argue just the opposite way, certain things you cannot deny are that technological advancements have changed our lives forever.

This was possible because of a technology called the blockchain—this encryption technology behind the cryptocurrency, a decentralized digital ledger that records a digital asset’s provenance. 

People hope to bring it into Voting, Lotteries, ID Cards, Identity Verification Graphics, Welfare Payments, Insurance Payments, so on and so forth.

According to firm Gartner’s research, Blockchain will provide $176 Billion in value to businesses by 2025 and a whopping $3.1 Trillion by 2030

2. 3D Printing 

With the revolutionizing approach, 3D printing is an exciting technology to look out for in the future. This is expected to bring a significant transformation in manufacturing, healthcare, and construction

With a market size of over 10 billion, the world of 3D printing is expected to grow by nearly 23.5% each year for the next five years, with big brands like Bugatti, Adidas, BMW, Audi, and Porsche already working on multiple projects to remodel the future using 3D printing

3. Microservices

Microservices or the Microservice Architecture, which, as the name suggests, is the architectural style that structures an application as a collection of services. It’s based on container technology that has dramatically changed the app life cycle. 

Developers can now rapidly build apps using containers to create manageable microservices and deploy them across private and public clouds rather than taking months or years to build monolithic apps. This improves the app rollouts and supports more infrastructure options.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) refers to a kind of software that can be programmed easily to do basic and straightforward repetitive tasks across different applications. The designation as a service is associated with various digital components such as Data as a service and Artificial Intelligence (AI) service.

You can get or order anything from food to medical consultations without leaving your office or home by utilizing certain online services; hence everything is in the name. The most considerable benefits here are scalability, high quality of services, cost and time effectiveness, and core competencies

6. Quantum Computing

Different countries and companies are streaming billions of dollars in Quantum Computing Research and Development. Quantum Computing will pay off by opening up new chemistry, shipping materials, design, finance, artificial intelligence, and more. Quantum computing is nothing but the study area focused on developing computer technology based on quantum theory principles. 

Recently Google has made a significant breakthrough by successfully attaining quantum supremacy with 53 qubit quantum processors. They can execute a random circuit program a million times within 200 seconds which generally would have taken more than 10,000 years by traditional computing methods.

Who doesn’t know about big data? It has been around in the market for a while now. During its inception, big data gave enterprises a new perspective on dealing with large volumes of data. It was clear that it’s not the amount of essential data, still what an organization chooses to do with it. 

More and more businesses are adapting to it to go beyond traditional data storage, processing, and significant breakthroughs. Many other domains such as Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, etc., can be dedicated to Big Data Advancement.

Big Data technology is set to morph again for the future with new trends being introduced in big data analytics such as data analytics, automation in-memory computing data as a service, and augmented analytics.
